We sweep/mop and vacuum daily---they are such messy monsters! Husband has gotten better about getting up and throwing things away, no laying chip bags, popsicle wrappers, etc. on the coffee table to throw away "later", We also only allow the bathroom trash to get 1/2 full before taking it out, someone likes to snatch things from the top.
I am still working on remembering to close doors to unoccupied rooms. Cooper has jumped on the guest bed and used it for TP, resulting in several loads of laundry too many times to mention

I think the addition of each one has made me more of a hermit (hate to leave them), and more compassionate and patient with everyone. I cry over every case of a dog being abused, or someone's dog dying. I used to laugh at the "dog people" and now...voila...I GET IT!
