I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through this again. That has been one of my biggest fears since my lung surgery in 2001. I know my other side probably has blebs too that one day might pop but there's no way to know for sure. His case is obviously more severe than mine was if they are having to take off part of his lungs. I don't understand that part at all. All they had to do to mine was first the treatment with the powder (can't remember all the technical terms) that seared the lung to the outer wall and then they had to go in and staple the blebs but they never had to remove part of it.
