Congratulations on your little singleton!
Having just one pup has nothing to do with it being a first litter. The female does predict the number of pups and the male is the factor in the sexes of them. It has more to do with the parent's heredity and not how many litters they've whelped. Two ounces is pretty small for a yorkie and even more so for a singleton. This is likely due to it being born a week early. Agreeing with Julz, keep a close eye on the pup, especially the first few days....week. Weigh it more than once a day to be sure it is gaining weight and more importantly not losing any. Make sure it is active, nursing, having a full belly, and kept warm.
