I don't own that particular carrier but I do have the 'Charlie' kWIGY-BO leather and was thinking about ordering the Marylou. The Charlie is about the same size as the one you are looking at , and my dog (2.5 lbs) has plenty of room. I have used it more than any of my other carriers and it still looks new , I think the products are well made.
Mine is a soft sided carrier , and some people prefer a more hard sided one to feel like they are not "squishing" the dog , but she doesn't seem to be bothered by it , and it looks like a purse so no one knows she is there
