Hi my name is Nugget. I am a pure-bred Maltese with papers. My owner and her hubby split last year. She has tried so hard and for so long to keep me but knows that I'd be much better off with an individual or family with a normal home schedule. She loves me very much but wants what's best for me.
I enjoy people of all ages. Even though I've never lived with children I really enjoy them when they come to visit. I have lived with another dog before and we got along just fine. And a cat I stayed with for several days in a row didn't even phase me. I'm very affectionate and social, but not high strung like lots of other silly dogs. My favorite past time is to sit with you while you scratch my back. Ahhh! I I'll even roll over for you so you can scratch my tummy, too! In return I'll snuggle up to you as long as you like.
I recently had a personal dog trainer for 6 weeks help me learn some manners. Even though I'm not perfect it sure did help a lot. I'm accustomed to being indoors but I sure love my walks. I'm very well mannered on my leash and get lot of compliments on how cute I am from the neighbors.
I'm a miracle dog. Once while minding my own business in my backyard I was attacked by a coyote. If it wasn't for my owner I would not be here now. I fully and perfectly recovered but the vet said it was the worse attack he'd ever seen on a dog that survived. I must be part cat with nine lives!! Can I spend the rest of my lives with you?
