I have stopped taking mine to Petco and Petsmart. 1st, I 'm not sure the dogs in there have had all their shots and there are alot a people in there with new puppies that they have just picked up. They might have kennel cough or coccidia (I'm not being mean but I know I was an unsuspecting buyer that ended up with a sick puppy). It upsets me when people jump right in to touch or pet mine. Once in Petsmart a woman reach into the cart to pick up Bubba when he was a puppy but I stopped her real quick by saying "I wouldn't touch him if I were you, he just puked int he car and he got some on him. I need to take him home and give him a bath". She dropped her hands quick!
Mine are very friendly-people and animal and they love attention. They love little kids and seek them out-especially ones with candy and ice cream.
But they are just so darn cute you can't help but want to pet them. I know I am guilty at times. Over Thanksgiving we were in Wa. and out looking at eagles, I saw a family camping that had a yorkie and talked to the owners from a distance, the yorkie was protecting the camper

. I wish I had asked if they were members here.
