| Can CERENIA (anti-vomiting) FLAGYL or PEDIALYTE cause WILD BEHAVIOR? I know this is a crazy question.. but Gucci had been sick the other day and the vet gave him Cerenia for vomiting ( a shot of this ) and Flagyl to take 2 X's daily.. He was drinking Pedialyte ALL DAY yesterday and is eating a food for the intestine (vet prescribed) ..
His symptoms were vomiting and yellow diarrhea with pink spots in a mucous cover... and it was runny, he did not have a fever ( he felt hot at home but once he got to the vet 6 hours later it was 3 a.m when he got ill, he was fine NO FEVER ) .. anyhow she sent him home and he has done great no vomiting, no diarrhea But he is acting WILD way more wild than usual, he is running all over in circles and hopping at things and just being WAY OVERLY PLAYFUL, last night he was up until 4 a.m and I literally had to say " THAT'S ENOUGH YOU'RE GOING TO BED " lol and put him to bed because he was just overdoing it... He is also urinating a lot, can that be because he is getting fluids every 2 hours with his food? or should I worry .. It only started when the every 2 hours started.
Anyhow can any of these things I am giving him cause him to be restless and wild?
He is eating IAMS VET FORMULA Intestinal Low-Residue Canned Food about 1/4 cup every 2 hours yesterday approx 2.5-3 tbs and now he has that doubled every 4 hours as directed by the vet.. is that too much? and here are the ingredients in case something in the food is making him Bonkers ...
