I would wait until your dog is done with the albon to bring the new puppy home. I would still treat the new puppy with Albon too after coming to your home. Cocci is a mess. Once you dog has it, it will always have it in their system. The meds don't get rid of it , it just helps prevent/treat for infection. It can live dormant in the dog, and then with stress ,becomes active, and cause the stool problems. So, when you bring the new pup home , cocci dog could get it again because of the excitement of the new pup. I would treat them both for 10 days if it were me. |
