Twice a week is probably too much, a general guideline is no more than once a week, but when Joey was a puppy, I occationally did it twice a week, he just seemed so much more oily then. Always follow shampooing with a good conditioner, remember it conditions the skin as well as the hair, always use a shampoo meant for dogs, because human shampoos even gentle ones are too drying for a dogs skin. Most important rule is rinse, rinse rinse, and rinse some more. Products left in hair and shin, can attract oils and dirt to hair, and dry skin.
