In Florida, some vets will give half vacs to dogs under 10 pounds. I live in Georgia and am looking for a vet that will do that. It doesn't make sense for a five pound Yorkie to get the same amount as a St. Bernard!!

it's tough eh? It has something to do with the same amount of enzymes or something (not enzymes but someting LIKE that.. lol) and every dog has the same amount so they need to have the same dose of rabies.
Layla's vet puts half in one hip and half in the other to cut down on the swelling.
