I dont understand it either! It breaks my heart!!! I understand there are LOTS of ppl right now that are in poverty and cannot at all care for the dog, but instead of leaving it alone in the abandoned house to die ATLEAST try to find a rescue or a good home for it. Dont just leave it to die. I feel horrible for all the families that cant even afford to feed their children and i understand that they just cant find a way to feed their pets either, i feel so bad for them and i understand it with this crisis we are in, but the least they can do is try to find it a home that can feed and care for it. I could never, ever see myself giving away my dogs cause i have less money, but if there comes a day that i absolutely cannot feed them i would do whats best for them and give them to someone that has the money to do so, so they can live the life they are supposed to. I wouldnt be selfish and let them starve, no way. But seriously even if i was in hard times and only had a little food, enough to feed me and i see my dogs are hungry i would split the food with them, or give it to them first cause as a human we can go longer w/o food. They are tiny and cannot.
