Keep in mind he's only a puppy and needs to get use to it... But also, if his fur is really matted..than you are hurting him by trying to comb it out and you need to just shave his coat down. After that be sure to stay consistant with bathing and brushing him to avoid his coat getting matted again. Just be firm with him when grooming and assert yourself as the one in charge...a few treats wouldnt hurt either
