Just thought I would update how the vet appt went today since I just got in and it went AWSOME! I go to an animal hospital that is open 24/7, it is the closest to my house and they have a couple different vets there. They do walk-ins for check ups and that sort of stuff so today we had a different vet that did not see Stormy. He looked at her and said that she looks alright and since he said he didn't see her two days ago and from what he read in her file that she looks like she is doing wonderful and healing very nicely. So very good news to hear we will not have to be putting her down * fingers crossed *. Her tongue has healed completely and her face today looks fantasic. Her lips are a little bit rough looking still, a little scabby but so much better then they did. She is actually opening her mouth up now and the best part is, the vet offered her some food, I believe it was a/b or something like that, well he added water to it and offered her some and she ate!!!!!!!!!!
She couldn't really eat too well or too much but she actually licked it and tried it and she loved it!! I was almost in tears. Shes been on just a liquid diet but now he wants us to start her on some baby food and watered down canned food, he also wants us to still syringe but give her some in a bowl. So when we got back to my moms house we put some out for her and she kept having a few licks and walking around. She seems to have alot more engery now also. My mom says all she does is lay around and sleep but when I arrived and she heard my brother say my name before she even seen me she jumped right up and greeted me. She would not lay down and was following me around wagging her stumpy!! She is doing so good and the great news is that I will be bringing her home probably Sunday or Monday. I am so excited to have my baby girl home!!
Before I left for home we gave her all her meds and syringed her some food, she was actually biting the syringe with her teeth and swallowing so good, she was fighting it the last few days but now she knew and she was sucking it like a baby, I will get a picture of it tomorrow it was so adorable!! I am so proud of her shes doing so great and looking so good too. Thank you again for your prayers, the vet said this is a miracle!!!!
oh and how could I almost forget, when I got to my moms today to see her and she was greeting me I got my very first kiss from her!!!!
She can't stick her tongue out all the way yet but she did the best she could!
