Go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy a $50 dolly. I bought husband one when we moved in to our house 4 years ago, and it was such a time and a back saver. If you pack your belongings in reasonable sized boxes (I like the size cases of paper come in) they aren't too terribly heavy to lift, will stack nicely on a dolly, and you can move 4 to 5 boxes at a time. I labeled every box on the front and back what rooms they belonged to, and husband had neat stacks of boxes along one wall in each room. We have used it to move our small freezer and many other things around the house since....you can even find some that completely fold down flat so you can store it under a bed if storage is a problem.
