I don't understand how someone could just abandon their pet or leave it in their home when they move out. That is wrong. I don't think I could ever give my dog to a pound -- the not knowing would just kill me.
However.
People are being put in impossible situations right now. They are doing what they can to get the best out of it. There are some very irresponsible people who drop their pets at the first time something goes wrong. but that's not usually the case. Rehoming a pet....it hurts. No one should judge someone that rehomes a pet, because they don't know what they go through.
Our shelters are ridiculously full. Do what you can to help. But don't judge the people that leave their pets there, for you don't know why they had to do it. |
