O.k. I posted a while back about changing from Science diet puppy food, which I found out was bad , and got some great recommendations of foods to try.

I started feeding Chloe "Blue Buffalo puppy food." ( along with my other dog) I could buy it at Petsmart and it got a good score on the food link that is somewhere on here , so I thought I would try it. While she seems to like it , she wont eat the life source bits. Same with my other dog.
So my question... If they are not eating the lifesource bits then are they not getting the rounded nutrition , is that right ? Should I switch then ?
And I have some questions about general Yorkie health and diet...
1. How much Protein should a good dog food have and what is to much ? I have been pouring over threads but a lot seem to be geared to how much protein a liver damaged puppy should have...How about a 'regular' ( don't take offense at the word ) puppy ? I'm confused on how much she needs. I don't want to hurt her by giving to much...is that even possible? I just don't know what is considered a safe amount.
2. Is there an amount of fat a food should not go over?
3. lastly , she is 8 months old now , what age should I switch over from puppy to adult food.
Thank you , and ANY advice is welcomed. It's very confusing to me trying to find a food that has the right balance when I don't know for sure what that balance actually is
