Valentino had a tick bite as well that resulted in a raised bump at the bite site for about 5 days...slowly going down each day. I contacted my vet and they said to watch for any signs of lethargic behavior and that they could test him a few months after the bite if they suspected that he had lyme disease. They also told me to give a bath with flea and tick shampoo because it could kill any other small ones that may be on him... it has been about two months now and he is just fine. Hope this helps.
