Oh girl...I feel for you. Been there done that with my daughter.
What happens with lice...you kill the bugs themselves...and 2 weeks later...the eggs hatch. The eggs are called nits. Ever hear the term....nit pickin' ? You need to wash her head with a lice shampoo...then use the nit comb to comb the nits out of her hair. They are stuck on the hair shaft. The easiest way to see them...outside in bright sunlight or a bright light indoors. Favorite spot for lice...the nap of the neck and behind the ears.
Two weeks from the day you wash her hair....you need to do it again. Don't skip this step.
Anything you can wash in hot water...wash. Her bedding, her clothes, the brush she uses...all of that. If you can't wash it and it's small enough...pack it all up in a plastic bag and leave for two weeks. There is also sprays you can buy for your furniture.
I am told the heat from a blow dryer works wonders too.
