One good thing is that I am a stay at home mom, so I am here most of the time...to stay on top of things.
I knew that there was a possibility that my male would start marking, but I guess I'm an optimist . My last male did go through phases when he would find some spots in the house and keep going back to them. But, mostly on the tile floor, and I did get him to stop.
It seems many people in my area have males and females. I honestly didn't think having both would be such a big deal. Like I said, I will ask my vet more questions, and I will also research as much as possible...which I was going to do anyway.

A word of advice from a breeder of a few years

Belly bvands for boys and diapers for girls WILL NOT work to keep them from mating. I know firsthand. What you are going to have to do IF after you research is to sseparate them during her heat cycle. You put one or the other in a crate part of the time then take turns crating them. perferably in another room becausse there has been cases of dogs mating thru the crate.
