My husband and I actually used to breed pit bulls ( we are on a break but still own 3 of them and co-own some others ) anyhow we DID NOT LIKE SMALL DOGS AT ALL!! EITHER OF US...
My reason was mostly because I thought they were pointless and just there to look cute, they were yappy/snappy and most I've seen were plain SPOILED. Thier owners gave us looks when their "little" dogs decided to run up and snap at our precious pitty babies at the dog park... UMM EXCUSE ME .. YOU'RE THE ONE WITH THE CRAZY DOG!!! one lady even said "No, No JuJu get away from the mean dog with the clipped ears" lol WHAT IS THAT?? my dog was just playing with another dog and a ball, anyhow that is why I was biased..
...until we got a Yorkie..
I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY HAS TO GIVE! ( I am sure you all know ) All I want to do is cuddle and love him, my husband ADORES him, everyone he comes into contact with wants to babysit him and ask for him when we come over.. he is so smart and definately serves a purpose in our home. I love my pit bulls and wouldn't trade them for the world.. but I now see that small dogs are just as rewarding!
In a lot of ways, Yorkies are like pit bulls in their loyal and loving tempermant but 1/4 the size! they even have the fiesty attitude a pit bull has .. lol GUCCI swears he is 90lbs of pure muscle haha
