I'm anti-PETA, but that kind of abuse happens all over the world, all the time. Not only to farm animals, but to fur animals, circus animals, "pets", and pretty much any living thing that gets in the way of mankind.
It is not illegal in most places to abuse animals and those laws which do protect them are rarely enforced to the fullest extent of the law, even in otherwise progressive countries.
These animals - poultry, pigs, and cattle - are considered commodities and product, not living things.
It's really a sad, sick world we live in sometimes... |
