Thank you all for your replies I hand feed him now so he eats slower, but he throw up twice for one week once in the afternoon after a snack and once at 3am, 6 hours after dinner, and I asked the vet
(I have more questions and this is the thread i started) I searched through the posts but I couldn't find something to answer my question . A week ago I've started to change Darcy’s food step by step as was recommended here and I intended to switch him completely for about 10 days. He was on Hills diet and I start mixing some Orijen . I think I’m doing something that is not right because he spits up two times for one week. Am I upsetting his tummy? Or is he sensitive? He is only on dry food, some yogurt in between meals every other day and some cheese from time to time (not much ).I talk to our vet and he said if this continues he may get gastritis and I need to stop his dry food for 10 days and start feeding him only canned, Hills prescription d/d duck formula. I’m not sure this is right and I need your advise ? I don’t want to stop the dry food. Is it Ok to mix them together? I know how much dry he eats but if I start mixing ,do I need to reduce the dry and how much of the canned I have to mix in?(the label on the can stated that ¼ can per day is ok for his weight )
(it’s difficult to find a good vet here ,there are so many of them almost on every corner ,but most of them are like “The dog Is a dog ,don’t need to worry he’ll be fine..)
