I do believe distilled water helps with the tearing eye stains...I don't think it actually stops the eyes from watering though, it just helps with the staining. I have used distilled water in the past, but then I got a water filter and have been using that for about a year. I actually talked to my doctor about any dangers of using distilled water...he simply thought the reasoning behind the "danger" claims were unfounded and complete nonsense...he still drinks distilled water himself today. I don't know, nor do I have the knowledge that he does...scientifically, but doctors do make mistakes too, after all they are only human. The choice is yours.
