I truely believe that this is very damaging to a child. Its unbelievable the amount of people that are one welfare that have high speed internet for their new laptops, cell phones, and cable. Our priorities are truely warped anymore. So I am trying to do what I can to help my children appreciate what they have and what they get, as well as learn what real priorities are. We used to spend about $300 on each child, but we are spending under $100 on each now, and are mostly doing combined family gifts. |
So true! I have really good kids but I spoil them too. Not to the point of spending $1000 on them but they get most of the reasonable things they want. But with them being kids, I'm not always sure how much they truly appreciate it and just sorta come to expect it. It is sad how prorities just seem to be screwed up nowadays! When someone at Walmart get stampeded to death, it has to make you wonder what has happened to us all?!
