Yep People food is great as long as it's healthy food (absolutely no grapes, raisins, onions, fatty foods, etc.) for them and you add the appropriate supplements (ie. calcium) to make it balanced.

My yorkie is also a "larger" yorkie weighing in at just above 11 lbs He is liver compromised so he has to be on a special diet. He has a history of gastritis from when he was on another food.

If you're not interested in homecooking, there are several foods out there that you can try to switch your baby to. If it were my dog, I would probably try one of the allergy/sensitive tummy diets by Natural Balance like Potato and Duck. You can find these foods at Petco.
