Just because your dog doesn't have fleas doesn't mean it isn't itching because of fleas. Think about it. If you got bitten by and ant or a mosquito you will probably itch long after the ant or mosquito is gone. Same with dog. If they bitten by a flea they may itch long after the flea is gone.
I have a dog that is extremely allergic to flea bites and as soon as she get bitten she scratch for days. Usually 0.5cc of benedryl clears it up( she is 7lbs).
Or you can do what adkins32 did and take her to the vet for a corisone shot or antihistine pills. |
