I wouldn't be surprised if this is the problem then.
Vets don't study much about animal nutritionist in vet school, so most of what they know, they have studied on their own. Some also don't believe what they believe on the internet which is sometimes good and sometimes bad. Mostly with Nutro though, I don't think this link is very well known...
As Yorkieluv said, if it isn't the food, I'd be exploring pancreatitis and gastritis issues.
