Hmmm...'too many' litters is really not something that can be aswered easily with just a number. Lots of little factors that play a role in determining that other than just number of litters.
For example, if she is 6 and has only had the 4 litters throughout the course of her life, being able to rest heats cylces, then no, it's probably not too many.
Or, if she has had those 4 litters plus several others in that time frame, then yes, it probably is too many.
Not really enough info to determine.
All you can really tell from the info you have given is that the dog is probably at least 6 yrs old, maybe older. 6 is right on the line of when females need to be retired.
