Is it a good phone to have even if you don't have the data plan?
You do not have to have a data plan for this phone. It's really a nice phone and its new. I would advise you to research and read reviews on the ones you would like to consider.. I've been researching myself. I have a curve, but unless you have a data plan to go with it, it's useless except for texting and calling. I feel like I might have wasted money on it. It is a very good phone and I like it, but it's more phone than I needed. I want something , I can text and call on and look really nice and classy. I liked this phone... Good luck. BTW, we ordered on Thursday and had it on the following Monday. Very fast shipping.
