I just read this thread and was so happy to see your update. I am recently divorced from a hubby who hasn't held a job EVER for longer then 3 months. I have always been the breadwinner and we acquired two dogs together - which he never helped out with. Luckily, we had no kids, so it was easier for us to end it - but I want you to know I feel your pain and I am so happy to hear you have found time to be with your little ones.
Its hard, because we cannot explain to them that Mommy has to go out to earn money so they have food in their bowls...But remember - you obviously care more then the average dog owner, and when you are working - you ARE helping to care for them, even if they can't understand that.
I know there are no official rewards for being the breadwinner and primary parent to both skin and furkids, but you should know, you deserve one!! Its not easy what you are doing and I applaud you!
