And-make sure there is at least one (if not two) large bowl of clean, cool water available at all times for him to drink. Rinse the bowl well each time you fill it up, and run it through the dishwasher every other day.
There's nothing wrong with adding water to kibble You just can't let it sit out for too long b/c it can harbor bacteria.
