Kongs-if he likes them, freeze with a dab of peanut butter to plug up the end, add some mashed banana and fill the rest with water. He'll enjoy licking out the PB and banana and get some more water as well
Wet food-Not sure if you're feeding him kibble or canned-but canned/wet homecooked food has more water than dry kibble alone. DO NOT add water to kibble though, it can make them sick (not sure why, but I have heard that)
And-make sure there is at least one (if not two) large bowl of clean, cool water available at all times for him to drink. Rinse the bowl well each time you fill it up, and run it through the dishwasher every other day. |
There's nothing wrong with adding water to kibble
You just can't let it sit out for too long b/c it can harbor bacteria.
