Its always refreshing to hear of someone willing to take on 'oldies'.
My last dog was 10 years old when i adopted her. She had a heart problem, cataracts, mammary tumours, a broken spirit from being beaten, and cigarette marks on her skin from being abused.
It was so rewarding to see her blossom from a frightened little creature, to a confident bouncy dog. I had 5 wonderful years with her before she had to be put down. She will always hold a special place in my heart...there is something very rewarding in giving an oldie a happy home for their twilight years.
