People food per say is not bad; table scrapes are what's bad. Years ago people were just scraping the food off their plates and allowing the dogs to eat the leftovers. This probably wouldn't be so bad if people were eating healthy themselves, but most don't. The high fat and salt in human foods is too much for our canine friends. Cheese in small amounts isn't bad, but it is a high fat item, and unless your dog gets lots of exercise, he probably can't use the extra calories. Chicken on the other hand, especially white meat is low in fat, and a perfectly healthy food. You can grill it with no seasonings, or boil it, and some people choose to give it to them raw. If cooked it's usually given with a whole grain, and a vegetable, both unseasoned. Those that do raw, usually just do the meat and bone, without the other foods.
