Default need advice--pink urine

Yesterday morning I heard Atticus breathing strangely, like raspy gasping. I scooped him up and put him on my lap and couldn't see anything. After a few minutes he began to breathe normally. Soon afterward, I found a that Atticus had been chewing (destroying) a pencil. Also yesterday, he got a hold of some very small cranberry colored tree ornaments and chewed them up. His paws were pink from the die.

Yesterday afternoon after both episodes I noticed a pink tinge to his urine. We use pads. This morning his urine was the same pink color. Now I'm supposing that what I'm looking at is blood in his urine. Although I'm not sure. He could have swallowed bits from both the pencil and the tree ornament.

He seems normal otherwise.

Anything I should be looking for?
Should I take him to the vet right away?
