Cry

I know this is an old post, but it reminds me of loosing my 5 mo. old pup. She had a colapsing trachea, and I didn't really know what it was, or understand its significance. The pup seemed fine, really mellow, but I thought that was just how she was. I had gone with my husband out of town for my brothers wedding, the pup was lying with me in bed and I could feel her heart beating. I look back now and releize it was probley working hard to get her air. The next day, we were in the church parking lot, walked the dogs around, I picked her up and her tounge was turning blue. By the time we got to the Vet. she had passed away. This disease can hit fast, and not always have an explaination. The Vet told us she had a heart attack, but as I look back, and have learned so much on this site, I beleive she did have a heart attack, but, I think it was secondary to her colapsed trachea. I still miss her terribley and feel resonsible for her death, there's no bringing her back, but if it ever happens again I'll know what to watch for.
