When my oldest son began walking, Christmas was just around the corner. I put the tree up, and he immediately began grabbing everything within reach. I ended up putting his playpen up with a table in it and putting the Christmas tree on the table. It looked a little odd, but we got to enjoy the tree without worrying that Russ would be injured!
