Hi bjh:
Yes, the mommy's milk has dried up. I have been grinding up the Science Diet which is what we use on all our dogs. And Science Diet being poor quality - Really? I have never heard that before. What's the difference between Science Diet and Canidae and Chicken Soup Puppy? Do they have larger amounts of carbohydrates and protein than than Scient Diet? I am willing to change to anything that would be better for my animals. My mother used Science Diet growing up and now me. I have always heard good things about it.

But perhaps things have changed?
The other litter mates are eating well, and she doesn't look too thin. She doesn't have a belly on her like her littermates but you can't feel any bones anywhere on her. Perhaps she may be eating more than I think she is? Do you know how much (in cc's) she should be eating at this point? I have recently moved them from the whelping area in the back of the house to right next to me. That way I can better keep tabs on playing, eating, etc. Last Wednesday, she was 6 wks and weighed 22.2 oz - how is that for her weight?
The Pet-tinic or Nutri-drops - Is that stocked at at PetSmart, WalMart or Vet? What about the Canidae or Chicken Soup Puppy - Vet or PetSmart?
As far as Hypoglycemia, it seems that she may have the "transient juvenile" because her shivering, her milk teeth came in before the other two and came in with a vengeance! Also, if she goes over 2 1/2 eating, she seems lethargic, but as soon as I feed her, she perks right up. Even if it's a couple of licks of the food, she will perk right up. We have all three in sweater socks and still use a heating pad. As long as she's warm, not over-handled, and has eaten within 2 hours, she's fine.
She doesn't have a wobbly gait, drooling or lifeless. Her gums have been light pink when she shivers/lethargic but never gray or white in color.
I hope I've answered all of your questions and gave you more insight to try to figure this out. I tried!

And thank you for helping me with this little girl.
