i have had toby and the twins around at the same time (my cousins) and he was a little "protective" at first (when i would pick up the babies he would try and nip at their feet/hands) well this behavior wasnt tollerated. He does fine now, he is all concerned if the cry, and he likes having people at his height (and the endless supply of snacks is probably a plus for him too...... the twins are always dropping food on the floor).. i dont think that it is too difficult to impress that your yorkie has to be gentle
