I have stainless steel and ceramic bowls. I prefer the ceramic ones, the once I have are HUGE and too heavy for my pups to move around...and plus I feel that that are more "sanitary" than the plastic, since plastic gets scratched and can be porus....I have 3 sets so that I always have an empty set ready and can load the others in the dishwasher!
