The vet was shocked when I told him I bathed Strawberry every week. He said only every 3 weeks at the most! Hah! That will never happen! And my previous Yorkie, Kiwi, was part of the family for 16 years also was bathed once a week. In the winter months they do get a bit of dry skin if you bath that often, but I don't like her to get stinky so I keep to her weekly bathing. It is not some short haired, outside dog that you can bath 4 times a year( ew...smell that!). I sometimes use a bit of gentle conditioner on her and that helps. Also, during the dry months I add a tiny bit of Olive Oil to her food and it really seems to help her skin from getting too dry and it has helped her from getting too many tangles. She loves the taste and it hasn't upset her stomach at all!
