My Daisy takes spells when she sounds like she is hacking up a furball or something. The vet says she is healthy. She didn't start doing this till recently and the only thing I can think of is that I had her in a regular collar and tried ONE time to leash train her. One of the members here said that these little furbabies have a fragile trachea. Could I have caused her to start the Hacking? My fiance' thinks she might have puppy asthma because most of the time she does it after she has been chasing one of her fetch toys or doing her nightly laps around the house. She doesn't throw up anything. If she does, as gross as it sounds, she must swallow it. She eats only Iams puppy food, no table scraps at all and filtered water and will be 20 weeks old on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008. She might weigh 2 pounds sopping wet.
