They are hurting themselves by saying " It was ok to do this" I feel people who see this, possibly will not think of them as maybe they once did. Years ago..way, way back, people went to the local pet shop and bought a puppy. Today's day and age, we know much more, and people who do care will look for a reputable breeder and support their hard work in what they put into their dogs.
Many breeders web sites send a message to people asking them to find a reputable breeder, do not buy in pet shops and support puppy mills. We see this message more and more. So many people are out there rescuing these poor dogs in mills, working in filth, wearing masks from the horrible stench, walking over the corpses of dogs, to save just a few at a time. This is the product of pet shops. So when we have a breeder out there who is respected and well known who is contributing to pet shops it does cause a reaction, a bad one at that. For what ever reason GB's did this, it was a bad choice on her part. Reputable is just not a word, it has a strong meaning to it which is respected. A respect you earn, and you do not earn it by sending innocent puppies to pet shops, even if it was just one, or not your dogs, a favor, which ever way you want to address it, there is no excuse for doing so.
I also agree that GB did a BAD thing and I "THANK YOU" Karenfor all your iformation and the time you spent in informing people about this....
