I think if you google large scale farming or agriculture, you'll find what you are looking for, independent of peta/humane society, etc. There is a chicken factory in southeast mo. There is a lot to sort through. Most, not all, large scale practices are similar, from what I've read, but smaller farms are more likely to have more humane practices. Their "product" is usually is more expensive, and I think as a society we aren't ready to pay more for this. Maybe because societally we are not aware.....juliet |
