It sounds like some type of parasite, possibley coccidia as there is a foamy bile vomiting and mucousy stools. The vet will give you Albon for this and it can be cured, but if left untreated it can cause severe dehydration. If you cannot get her to the vet tonight, just make sure she gets the fluids she has lost replaced... I'd give her pedialyte and nutri-cal to keep her good until morning. I think the general rule of thumb is 2x's what was lost needs to be given back. A good way to tell if she is hydrated is to pinch the scruff of her neck and let it go .. it should bounce back to normal immediately.. if it stays up for a bit she is getting dehydrated, this will help you watch her well.
I'd also be concerned she had gotten into something, is that possible? because the side effects of poisening are also similar to those of parasites. |
