I've been searching for the same thing! I came across this yesterday & decided I'll pick up the stuff tomorrow & give it a try! (I have three taste-testers that ALWAYS give me their honest opinion on things
)
SANTA'S FAVORITE COCOA:
1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
2 cup milk
2 cup half & half
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. vanilla (I usually add a tad more to things)
pinch of salt
over med-low heat, melt chips constantly stirring w/wooden spoon & adding bits of half/half to keep it liquid & smooth- keep adding liquid until all is in. Switch to a whisk, add in powdered cocoa in small parts, constantly whisking, allowing powder to completely dissolve between additions (to prevent clumping). After cocoa is in, slowly add in the sugar, milk, salt, & vanilla. Serve w/whipped cream, marshmellows, chocolate shavings, etc.
