Take heart!! There's hope yet. My yorkie is almost 11mos and I had almost given up hope. She knew to go outside, but still went in the house whenever she felt like it. I recently started confining her to a smaller area while we were gone and miracles happened. She now holds it till we come home and comes to us when we're home and she needs out. I think she just felt that she had plenty of room in her home and could always find some place out of the way to potty. I know, everyone on here says to confine them but I just felt so guilty not giving her running room! I gratefully stand corrected! Of course, she's a fixed female and I'm sure there's something to the fixed male theory also. |
