I think this is a productive topic. It involves a good breeder with a good reputation involved with shipping pups (Whether hers or not) to a pet store. Shipping not once but multiple times. I think that it's educational to know your breeder both good and bad. I will agree that at this time it's really just become a debate over who is right and wrong and is becoming non-productive. I would be interested in seeing where these pups orginated from /who they originated from. Unfortunaetly the only way to actually know this is to see their AKC papers. I do not feel that Glenda should be assumed guilty but as a person in the public eye it would be advantagous for her to she came on and atleast try to clear it up. Coming on and saying "I did a favor for a friend" is not clearing it up. That friend would have had to breed multiple breeds in which she shipped for him / her multiple times (or) she's shipped for multiple breeders? I would be interested to atleast here what breeder/s she shipped for and why they did not ship their own pups?
If you read the FAQ on Puppy Love's site it states that ALL their breeders are licensed and inspected which means they are USDA Licensed as ALL persons legally have to be in order to sell to a pet store. Small time home breeders are not USDA Licensed. Large Kennels are. The reason is they sell in volume enabling to sell cheap which enables the pet store to make a profit.
FAQ on Puppy Love's site also states they come in after the age of eight weeks. Well, that's because Legally they cannot take them any earlier. This is the minimum age a pet store is allowed to sell a pup.
FAQ we generally sell between 65 - 110 puppies per month (and many more over the holidays). We price them according to cost and age of the puppy, as well as the availability of the breed.
And you really believe these dogs come from upstanding breeders? |
