Gender really has very little to do with it! As others have said, all dogs are individuals and it totally depends on who THEY are.
I have a male cavalier king charles spaniel and a female yorkie mix and they are totally different!
Look for an ethical breeder who breeds for health, breed standard and temperament and you will find the pup who steals your heart!
