They do have dental bones for chewing that are helpful in removing tarter. But, mine don't like them.
Rope toys are good for them to chew on, and they also help remove tarter. Mine like those alot. I just make sure the strings at the ends aren't the looser kind that can be chewed off easily. I replace them often to prevent that because I don't want them swallowing the strings.
