I was never allowed to take home ec in school....don't ask...My DH finally bought me a sewing machine after begging for a few years. I taught myself how to sew using the book it came with...after a few hundred pillows, blankets I am now good at window coverings, clothes and such...so if I can do it....someone that already knows the basics and lingo for sewing is sure to have success!
